Winter Weddings

As the nights are getting darker and there's a crisp chill in the air, our thoughts are turning to winter. It's time to say goodbye to the glorious, ahem, British Summer and start thinking of warming our cockles in front of a roaring fire, searching for last years gloves (and normally only finding one) and having the eternal debate over if it's still ok to wear Uggs for another year.

It's also time to start thinking about winter weddings so if you're a winter bride or a photographer who has any lovely wintery weddings to share with us, please do get in touch. We'd love to dedicate November to winter weddings and December to all things Christmassy from Christmas Weddings to lovely gift ideas from wedding suppliers.

If you would like to contribute a real wedding or you have products that would make great Christmas gifts, drop us an email soon.

A Sweet Christmas

Christmas is all about treating yourself and when I came across this tree on Pinterest I had to share it. It's the sort of tree you might find in the Willy Wonka factory at Christmas.

Christmas is also a great time for a Candy Buffet, whether for paries or Weddings. Here's some Christmas Candy Buffet and dessert table ideas. The gorgeous one below is from Frog Prince Paperie. If you get chance click the link to see the whole post as it's full of festive cheer.

To create a magical Christmas look you need to include ginger bread men, candy canes and swirly lollies. Gingerbread houses are really magical too and add to the festive cheer. The final one from Hostess Blog shows you don't need to stick to the traditional Christmas colours to look festive.

If you want a Candy Buffet for a Wedding, party or event, contact Bristol Candy Buffet who can create a bespoke buffet to match your theme.

December Diary Dates

Can you believe it's December already. It's a bit of a quiet month in the World of Weddings but don't forget the Love Actually Christmas Wedding Fair at Bristol Zoo this Sunday.

On Saturday 17th December, there's a fantastic Wedding Planning Workshop held by How 2 I Do. Book tickets at www.how2ido.co.uk to learn how to pick a theme, make a mood board, plan a timetable for the big day and arrange a table plan, plus much more. It costs just £25 per person.

Also don't forget to open those advent calendars and make a list for Santa. This month we'll be featuring some great gifts available to buy from local Wedding suppliers as well as some Winter Weddings and DIY tips for decorations and treats.

Keep checking back and join us in feeling festive this December

Christmas is Coming

It's getting to that time of year again with Starbucks rolling out the red cups and M&S showing their Christmas adverts (though does anyone else feel a bit cheated that instead of the usual celeb packed ads we are getting the X Factor lot?)

Anyway, to celebrate the festive season we are devoting December to all things Christmas with Winter Weddings, Christmas Weddings and Christmas gift ideas.

If you are a Bristol Wedding supplier or photographer and have any great Winter or Christmas Weddings to share please through as we'd love to feature them. If you also make Christmas gifts or items that you would like to share, please send them through as long as they relate to Weddings in some way.

Remember there's only 38 shopping days left until Christmas!
